At Unigesco, worker health and safety on our sites is our top priority and we do more than meet the requirements set by laws and regulations. We have established a prevention policy with goals that exceed industry regulations. To meet these objectives, we have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to following safety instructions, and our projects are subject to the highest occupational health and safety standards.
Every task deserves to be completed with care. We may talk the talk, but we also walk the walk . Quality, results, and sustainability are woven into every detail of our projects. Our relentless attention to all these details defines us, motivates us, and—above all—it means we can be proud of the work we deliver. We aim for the highest quality standards, while staying true to the needs of each building. From planning to execution, all team members share this wholehearted commitment to quality. We believe that this commitment is the foundation underlying our enduring relationships with clients, and it is the reason they trust us to carry out their projects.
At Unigesco, our commitment to people goes beyond our relationships with our employees, clients, and subcontractors. We are certain that we can make a difference as a corporate citizen. In concrete terms, we chose to get involved in our metropolitan community by supporting mental health and homelessness initiatives in Montréal.
Moisson Montreal is a non-profit organization whose mission is to freely collect food donations and essential products throughout the year and distribute them to community organizations on the island of Montreal. Thanks to the support of its partners, Moisson Montreal is the food bank that distributes the most provisions in Canada.
In the fall of 2023, 15 Unigesco employees responded to the call and visited Moisson Montreal to take part in volunteer days, thereby contributing to the fight against food insecurity.
Their mission is to offer a range of services catering to the needs of the homeless in Montreal. The entire team works tirelessly to help the homeless regain control of their lives and reclaim their rightful place in the community, and they have been doing so since their inception in 1889, over 133 years ago.
The Unigesco management team visited the Old Mission Brewery's premises, located on Clark Street in Montreal, to assist in preparing and serving meals to those experiencing homelessness. In addition, a donation of $3, 000 was made to the organization, and a warm clothing drive was organized with the collaboration of the Unigesco employees.
The mission of the Douglas Foundation is to bring together the brightest minds and provide the means to improve mental health for everyone, today and in the future. It helps fund research, clinical care, and public awareness initiatives in the field of mental health, with the goal of transforming the lives of those living with mental illness. Through its work, the Foundation helps break down stigma, enhance treatment options, and foster a deeper understanding of mental health in our society.
At Unigesco, we firmly believe in the importance of this cause. That’s why we took part in the Mental Health Bingo organized by the Douglas Foundation on May 21, 2025, at Entrepôts Dominion. In addition, a team of 10 Unigesco participants will be joining the Bromont Ultra on October 18 and 19, 2025—a collective sporting challenge in which 160 km will be run in relay over 24 hours. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for the Douglas Foundation through this team effort, while also helping raise awareness in our community about the importance of mental health.
